The successful applicant will be part of a dynamic team which deals with many aspects of the business. He / she will support the sales team and our customers on technical issues via phone and email. This role involves working closely with our NPD & China teams to guarantee the highest product quality, while making sure that all products placed on the market meets statutory and safety requirements.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrical engineer or electrician with a strong project management background.

About you

  • Strong Technical skills with a background as an Electrical Engineer or Electrician, preferably with experience in lighting.
  • Experience using excel, word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft tools.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and responding to tasks with an efficient, can-do attitude.
  • Focused on customer service and always do what you say.
  • Project management skills with an ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Be a collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal/communication skills. 
  • Knowledge of SAP B1 is an advantage.  

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • To support customers and the external sales team on technical & quality issues.
  • To be phone support for the internal sales team.
  • To report and analyse areas of the department.
  • To lead projects assigned by the Technical Manager.
  • To communicate with China office and suppliers regarding all technical matters.
  • Provide all technical support to New Product Development.
  • To test and report on all new samples placed on the market.
  • To test and report on all new samples of products being considered placed on the market.
  • To support the returns testing process.
  • To support the incoming inspection process.
  • To write customer/technical reports.  
  • To review and sign off Instruction Manuals and other product related documents.
  • To provide technical product training to sales staff.
  • To update technical files on products.

Role:

To provide world class customer service to all ROBUS customers, internal & external.
To maximise every opportunity to generate additional value.

Responsibilities:

  • To provide professional & high-quality service & support to all customers & colleagues
  • Working as and being part of a supportive team
  • Responding to all calls and sales enquiries in a helpful, efficient & friendly manner
  • Answer calls promptly (within 10 seconds)   
  • Returning calls to any abandoned calls as assigned
  • Maintaining above target levels on Call Quality scores
  • Managing ‘fasttrackmyorder’ mailbox and filing system                                   
  • Entering Sales Orders onto our SAP system as accurately as possible
  • Managing Call-Off Orders and communicating with Purchasing Dept.
  • Contacting customers to advise of order status from alerts
  • Make outbound calls to increase pack quantities & values for break prices
  • Taking part in Daily Team Kick-Start meetings                       
  • Replying to info@robus.com emails
  • Responding to Live Chats via ROBUSdirect portal                                                      
  • Dealing with, following through of all enquires and any concerns raised                      

Support to External Sales Teams. i.e. Promote special offers to customers, daily & monthly reporting assistance, keeping them in the loop with all customer interactions.
