The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious IT Manager to lead the IT team and develop the group’s IT capability to support and add value to the growing business.

This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of the existing IT function and resources, as well as work with senior management across the organisation.

The IT Manager will have full responsibility for the group’s IT function in an exciting fast paced environment, producing value added solutions in addition to the general maintenance of the company’s IT environment.

The ideal candidate will have a track record of managing the IT department for a growing group and well as clear delivery of information systems improvements which have delivered real value add to business partners.

The IT Manager will work with the CFO and other business leaders to provide the strategic direction and leadership for the groups IT capability whilst maintaining a willingness to be “hands on” when required  

The group’s current ERP platform is SAP Business One (SBO), so knowledge of SBO would be a distinct advantage.

Reporting to the Chief Finance and Operating Officer you will be based at our head office in the Western Retail Park, Nangor Rd, Dublin 12, where you will manage a team of 4 IT professionals.

The Role:

Manage and develop the groups IT resources and MIS capabilities to support the current and future needs of a dynamic international business

Key Responsibilities:

Overall responsibility for the efficient and effective running of LED’s IT department including the end to end management of projects;

Work closely with the IT team to produce accurate management information that will assist the business in making strategic decisions;

Key role in driving system improvements and BI capability development;

Provide IT leadership and technical expertise to ensure that the information systems meet the needs of an expanding international organisation

Development and leadership of the IT team;

Identify opportunities for improving and developing the IT resources, applications, infrastructure and processes

Overall responsibility for the master data of our business management systems (1. SAP B1 & 2. WEB based ordering), with a focus on accuracy at all times;

Engage external resources / contractors for the deployment of new projects, where required;

Liaise with IT service providers & negotiate all IT related contracts;

Procure hardware and software as required, and

Report to the management team on all aspects of the IT department.

Skills required

A minimum of 5 years’ experience managing an IT department, ideally in a FMCG or similar business with turnover of more than €50m

A proven track record implementing new projects

A demonstrable track record of driving change and improvements

Project management experience

Experience with an integrated business management system, ideally SAP Business One.

Self-starter who enjoys being able to take initiative and shape their department/function

Strong problem solving skills using a measured approach.

Experience in leading and developing a team

A willingness to be “hands on” when required

Enthusiasm, energy and desire to be part of a growing international organisation

Ability to work collaboratively with the business to deliver real improvements and ensure IT is an enabler

The ideal candidate would have experience/skills in the following areas:

O365 Admin (including Office, Email, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams)

SQL Server Admin (Security, Optimisation, SQL, Stored Procedures)

Systems Integrations Experience (including EDI, APIs etc)

WMS Experience

Business Intelligence skills (e.g. Power BI)

Cloud Admin (MS Azure)
