Irwin’s Tiles and Floors wanted to update the lighting for their showroom in Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan. Sara Irwin first heard about ROBUS products through their local electrical wholesaler, Wesco Electrical. They arranged to meet with ROBUS Project Engineer, Conor Brannelly who advised Sara which ROBUS products would best suit their requirements.
Irwin’s Tiles and Floors wanted to make the switch to LED light fittings so ROBUS were the perfect choice for their retrofit. As well as wanting to make significant energy savings, Irwin’s also wanted the new light fittings to give their showroom a more modern feel as they felt the showroom needed a refresh. Conor advised on what ROBUS products were available that could meet this need and ROBUS TRAM track projectors and ROBUS ATMOS panels were chosen.
There are two levels to the Irwin’s showroom; the ground floor showcases all their tiles and upstairs is dedicated to their wood and other flooring. A combination of ROBUS TRAM track projector and ROBUS ATMOS panels were used both up and downstairs. They installed a total of 112 ROBUS TRAM, 58 ROBUS ATMOS and 76 x 2m Tracks. Downstairs the ROBUS ATMOS panels were recessed in the ceiling. Tracks were positioned alongside these panels that held the ROBUS TRAM spotlights. These spotlights are adjustable with a rotation angle of 350° and tilt of 210°, so the directions of the spots could be easily changed to highlight specific products. They are also manually dimmable, making them a very versatile retail option as each individual stoplight can be dimmed between 10-100% depending on individual preference.
Upstairs, Sara Irwin opted to suspend the ROBUS ATMOS Panels as the ceiling upstairs in the showrooms wasn’t suitable for recessing or surface mounting most light fittings. Suspending the ROBUS ATMOS panels has created a more contemporary style to the room and the panels give tremendous light output of between 3,220 and 3,760 lumens while also providing substantial energy savings for fast ROI. They also have 30,000 lifetime hours with virtually no maintenance costs.
Overall, Irwin’s are very happy with their ROBUS retrofit. Sara Irwin praised ROBUS Project Engineer, Conor Brannelly for being “very helpful, professional and always contactable”. The new light fittings brightened up the showroom, improving the displays and giving it a more modern feel.
The new lights have improved and modernised showroom and displays.
