Running in aid of Wakefield Hospice

ROBUS Area Sales Manager, James Davey has committed to running 10K every day in May again this year in order to raise much needed funds for the Wakefield Hospice. James has been a loyal and valued member of the ROBUS team in the Northern Region for 7 years covering East Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and Yorkshire.

The 10K a day in May challenge is now in its fourth year running. Sarah Powala started the challenge in 2016 to raise money for the Wakefield Hospice to thank them for all their hard work when looking after her mother and for the constant support they give to the community. Since then she has been joined by a growing team of runners, the “green army”. The group wear green t-shirts when running to show they are participants in the challenge.

Last year, with the help of James, they raised £9,500. Their goal for 2019 is to raise £15,000.

Running 10K every day for 31 days is not an easy feat and not many people would try never mind actually complete the challenge. Everyone here at ROBUS is very proud of James for getting involved and admire his determination and commitment to the cause.
