Guernsey Post Office Ltd has replaced fluorescent lighting with ROBUS LED lighting, saving energy and reducing costs. Amalgamated Facilities Management Solutions were contacted by Richard Taylor, Facilities Manager at Guernsey Post Office Ltd for a thorough lighting upgrade, including offices, sorting halls, car parks, unloading bays, customer retail areas, canteen, toilets a plant room and an underground car park.
Fluorescent office lighting was upgraded with ROBUS LED panels and emergency recessed spotlights, and ROBUS high bay lights were installed in the sorting halls.
67 x VULCAN LED Linear Fittings R140LEDCP-01, 89 x DOCK 160W LED highbay R160HBLEDNF-23, 189 x ROBUS SUN Circular LED panels R300LEDC40-01, 343 x ATMOS 40w LED Panel RAM40406060-01 were installed throughout the whole building and car park.
For the entire project, a minimum saving of £518,472 in energy costs at today’s prices has been calculated over the minimum life expectancy of the new LED lighting system after payback.
