Junior Lighting Designer

Company information:

The LED Group, an Irish owned company, has a global presence and a reputation worldwide for first-class customer service and products. LED Group currently employs over 200 people worldwide. As a result of increased customer demand for lighting designs coupled with strong sales growth, an opportunity has arisen for an in-house Lighting Designer role within the Lighting Design Department at LED Group in the Dublin office. The right candidate will perform a pivotal role in supporting the Sales Team to win projects by providing top-class lighting designs and quick turnaround times. This is a junior role, full training and support will be given to the successful applicant. The ideal candidate would be enthusiastic, focused, and energetic with a huge appetite to learn. This role is based in our head office.

Responsibilities:

Working with the Sales Team primarily, and other key stakeholders in the delivery of lighting design projects.
Review and interpret CAD files to create lighting designs that meet specification requirements.
Deliver lighting designs as requested by the Sales Team within agreed timelines.
Project Management, take ownership of lighting design projects allocated.
Support the Sales team in the tendering process.
Carry out a comparative analysis of ROBUS vs Competitor products through lighting designs and reports.
Assist in technical support functions as business needs demand.

Essential Requirements:

Some lighting design experience using Relux or Dialux.
Level 8 Technical Graduate in Engineering or Design.
Experience in working with CAD
A self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment as well as being able to work individually.
Results focused, the ability to handle large volumes of data and to run multiple projects
concurrently.
Persistent and diligent with a focus on attention to detail.
Assertive and dynamic with a willingness to learn and take on responsibility.

Desirable Requirements:

Relevant experience in the lighting industry.
Completion of College modules linked to Lighting Design.
Understanding of building services.
Knowledge of BIM is preferred.
Proven track record of office and industrial lighting design.
Experience in working with CAD files to create suitable lighting designs.
Good working knowledge of lighting-related standards, schemes, and calculations.

We are seeking a highly motivated, fast-paced and customer-focused person to join our Internal Sales team here at ROBUS. The successful candidate will be a problem solver who can build rapport easily with customers and exceed their expectations with their knowledge and passion. They will have excellent verbal and written social skills, as well as the ability to effectively prioritise and manage their time. The role involves multitasking across systems and applications and resolving a variety of technical issues while comfortably navigating a product environment. Customer satisfaction is our number one priority so a commitment to providing best in class service is vital.

Responsibilities

Provide World Class Customer Service ensuring we are easy to deal with
Communicate with customers via phone, email, and chat systems.
Provide knowledgeable answers to questions about product, pricing, and availability
Manage the sales mailbox and distribute orders/queries to the team based on regions.
Work with Internal departments to anticipate and exceed customers’ expectations.
Processing Sales Orders and associated mailbox management in various platforms
Maintain above target levels on KPIs
Liaising with and working alongside the ASMs to deliver best-in-class service.
Participate in regular product training sessions and complete assessments.

Requirements

Business fluency in both written and oral English is essential.
At least 2 years of relevant experience in Customer Service
Customer-focused with the ability to work well in a structured team environment and with strong initiative.
Excellent phone etiquette and excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, organize and prioritize work.
Knowledge of or interest in product and technology is desirable but full training will be provided.

Technical Advisor – Role and Responsibilities

Role:

To work as part of the Technical Support team on customer query and ticket management and with our suppliers to ensure that the quality of our products is maintained at the high standard expected by our customers.
Carry out product testing and development to support our NPD in guaranteeing the highest product quality while making sure that all products placed on the market meet statutory and safety requirements.
Have a clear understanding of electrical installations within the domestic space.
Opportunity for an electrical/mechanical technician or electrical apprentice with a strong background in problem-solving and customer service.

Responsibilities:

Technical Support Team – Call answering, Ticket management, HubSpot Daily Update/maintenance
Product QC Issues & QC Kanban management – liaising with Customers, Sales Representatives, Contractors, and Wholesalers
Managing Secondary Cost claims and Warranty Claims-– liaising with Customers, Sales Representatives, Contractors, and Wholesalers
Managing Projects related to product quality and performance, including report writing and presentation creating/presenting.
Organization and management of annual WCCS meeting schedule, minutes and follow-on actions.
Supporting with Technical/Quality Reworks when required.
Provide input that may help improve processes and procedures throughout all areas of QC & Technical.
